Chamber Music Workshop for Adults
On May 5, 2010 4:04 PM CDT In: Music Camps The Woodland Chamber Music Workshop is a place where adult amateur musicians of any instrument and all skill levels come together for a weekend of small-ensemble playing and coaching, seminars, chamber orchestra, and fun on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior in Northern Minnesota! Luxurious, lakeshore accommodations and meals are included at Surfside on Lake Superior resort in Tofte, Minnesota. The Gichigami Trio and Betty Braunstein, artist-faculty in residence, give positive and constructive coaching sessions for each ensemble, plus a public concert. New this summer I'm extremely pleased and excited to welcome nationally-renowned composer, author, and storyteller Rick Sowash as our very special guest at this June's Workshop. Traveling all the way from Cincinnati, Rick will be at the WCMW for the entire duration, joining us to provide insight, illumination, and a bit of humor on the art of composing and writing. Participate as a pre-formed group or individual. Individuals will be placed with other participants of similar skill and experience - no auditions required. He never shipped the reeds and won't answer e-mails regarding the order. Don't let him steal your money! If you're in a similar situation and got taken by Mr. Marzluf, request a charge-back with your credit card company and file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx).... |

Studied and trained voice for four years at College of Wooster under Sue Wallin and Carrie Culver, four years in audition-only mixed chorus, performed in several musical productions, two summers singing at the Ohio Light Opera, and four years in an all-male a cappella group.
